Present position: MD, PhD, MBA, Senior Consultant Endocrinologist and Researcher at Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen, Herlev (Denmark), and Associate Professor of Endocrinology at Lund University Diabetes Center, Lund University, Malmö (Sweden) . Board-certified specialist in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology (Lund University, Sweden), Master of Business Administration (Copenhagen Business School, Denmark).

Previously: Senior Consultant Endocrinologist and Head of the Department of Endocrinology at Skåne University Hospital in Malmö and Lund (Sweden), Adjunct Professor of Endocrinology at Lund University Diabetes Center, Lund University (Sweden), Vice President and Head of Clinical at Steno Diabetes Center, Gentofte (Denmark), Corporate Vice President and Head of Clinical Pharmacology and Translational Medicine at Novo Nordisk A/S, Søborg (Denmark), and Senior Vice President and Head of Medical Science at Novo Nordisk Foundation, Hellerup (Denmark).

Author of more than 130 papers in international scientific journals, ranging from basic mechanistic understanding, translational studies in precision medicine, and clinical trials to delivery of health care and health economics. Supervision of 6 PhD and 2 postdoc fellows. Current focus on the clinical implementation of precision diabetes medicine and data-driven development of quality of care.
